Part 1 of the infamous Kansas Krawl! This is an annual event hosted by 4x4 Land at Kansas Rocks. This year there were three classes- under 35" tires, buggies with larger than 35" tires, and full on tube chassis. Part 1 is the section of the off-road race on Zuke's Squeeze.
The hill climbs were wast for most competitors. Rigs with rear steer made quick work of the tight turns at the bottom of the course. Smaller rigs went down Zuke's Squeeze, large 4x4's went up Zuke's and the rock bouncers had to climb a rock face. Surprisingly, many of the bigger Jeeps couldn't make it up the last obstacle. It was too dug out for their tires to bite. It was also muddy and sloppy. The rock bouncers enjoyed the rock face climb. It had enough room for them to maneuver and build up momentum to jump over the top. Crowds enjoyed being close to the action. It was a great start to the racing.
